Matt Gross Biography

Matt Gross, A&S BA ’96, MA ’98

A veteran travel and food writer, Matt Gross has been the editor of BonAppetit.com, Boston.com, and Realtor.com, and was the New York Times’ Frugal Traveler from 2006 to 2010. His travel memoir, The Turk Who Loved Apples: And Other Tales of Losing My Way Around the World, was published in 2013. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Jean Liu (A&S ’96), and their two daughters. He’s at work on a new book, a history of the chili pepper.
