Student Send-off Parties
Each summer, Johns Hopkins alumni and parents across the United States host send-off parties for incoming students. Whether it's a backyard cook out or a party on the beach, these summer bashes are always lots of fun, and they help ease the transition for students and bring alumni of all ages together in an informal setting. If you'd like to host a send-off party in your area, contact the Alumni Office at alumni@jhu.edu. |
Student Programs
Students are welcomed to campus with a gift. Recent gifts include mugs, mousepads, and CD holders, as well as the student discount card, which provides students with deals and discounts at campus-area merchants. Graduating students from all Johns Hopkins schools also receive gifts, including alumni lapel pins. During the years between orientation and commencement, students participate in study breaks, networking events, barbecues, and the ring ceremony, at which eligible students receive their official university rings.
