National Alumni Schools Committee (NASC)
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Johns Hopkins seeks to provide the university with a multidimensional student body that represents diversity in academic interests, extracurricular pursuits, leadership opportunities, and backgrounds. The National Alumni Schools Committee (NASC) plays an important role in assisting admissions staff in recruiting and enrolling these top students.
The NASC was founded at Johns Hopkins in the early 1960s and currently involves more than 800 alumni worldwide. NASC members have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of admissions activities including applicant interviews, college fair attendance, presentation and reception staffing, and more general outreach efforts. The flexible nature of the program allows members to be as involved as their schedule permits.
Get Involved
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is currently seeking new volunteers for the NASC. In order to participate in recruitment and enrollment events, volunteers must first complete an online training program. It is essential for NASC members to have the most current information about the undergraduate experience at Johns Hopkins, and to understand the role they play in the admissions process before interacting with prospective students. More information on becoming a fully trained member is available on the NASC web site at www.nasc.jhu.edu.
