Ellen MacKenzie becomes 11th dean of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health

Ellen J. MacKenzie, who officially became the 11th dean of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health today, said in a message to the Bloomberg School community that she is "ready to lead and to engage ... as we work toward positive, meaningful solutions.

"I look forward to working closely with faculty, students, staff, alumni, and friends of the school in staying true to our mission and meeting the evolving challenges of public health both locally and globally," added MacKenzie, whose message included a brief video introduction.
